TourFish – an EU project created by a partnership of 6 organisations in England, France, Holland and Belgium led by the University of Greenwich to raise awareness of inshore fishing and locally produced food to promote the importance of these industries to local economies and responsible tourism.
During 2014 and 2015 as Sidmouth Drill Hall Hub we were one of the partners in this exciting project to promote Responsible Tourism, which we believe is vital for Sidmouth and its future and what motivates us to contribute to that agenda.
Responsible Tourism is about making better places for people to live in and better places for people to visit.
Responsible tourism however tries to develop forms of tourism that maximise the benefits for local communities and visitors.
Responsible Tourism encourages us to think about the links between regional produce, regional business, locality and identity.
